Removing spider veins

Q: I am noticing thin red spider veins on my cheeks. What can I do to get rid of them?
Allison S.

A: Allison,
What you are experiencing are dilated capillaries due to stress, drinking or sun damage. Unfortunately, it's your skin type which makes you prone to this reaction.

My first recommendation is not to waste your money on any type of laser removal procedures. Many people with similar skin types will try laser but it simply does not work. If you successfully remove one dilated capillary, another will appear somewhere else.

But don't despair, there is a product on the market which eliminated the redness which often accompanies this condition. Ask your dermatologist about a cream called Metrojel. The product has produced favorable results in women.
