Q. I want to exercise but with three children I just feel too guilty to take another hour away from my children. Any advice?

A. First, you need to put things into perspective. Exercising should not be considered a luxury, but a necessity, just like anything else you do to maintain your body, like eating and sleeping.

Next, realize that you are setting a great example for your children when they see you exercising consistently. This is a great habit to pass along.

Last, a consistent exercise program will increase your strength and energy levels and can actually lower instances of fatigue. In turn, you will have more stamina and energy to spend quality time with your family.
